What kind of performance can I expect?
Opera Philadelphia presents opera, a theatrical art form that combines live singing, orchestral music, and stage storytelling. Production details, including the title and format of a specific performance, can vary by date, so review the listing for the event you plan to attend.
How long does an opera performance usually last?
Running times vary by production and may include one or more intermissions. Check the performance details closer to your event date for the most accurate schedule; plan to arrive early and allow extra time for entry and seating.
Where is the Academy of Music?
The Academy of Music is at 240 S. Broad Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, along the Avenue of the Arts. Its central location makes it accessible by public transportation and within reach of Center City restaurants and hotels.
What seats are best at the Academy of Music?
For a balanced view of the stage and a clear perspective on the production, many guests look for seats near the center of the orchestra or in the front portion of the first balcony. The Academy is a historic theater with multiple seating levels, so sightlines and the experience can differ by section. Review the available seat details before choosing.
Are any seats less suitable for an opera performance?
Seats at the far sides or toward the rear may offer a more angled or distant view than centered seats closer to the stage. The best choice depends on your budget and preferences; check the listing's seating information, where available, before you buy.
What are the parking options near the Academy of Music?
Several paid garages and lots serve Center City and the Avenue of the Arts. Availability and rates can change, especially on event nights, so compare options and consider reserving a space in advance. Public transit can be a convenient alternative to driving.
What is a useful parking tip for the Academy of Music?
Allow extra time for traffic and garage entry, and confirm a facility's hours and event-night pricing before you leave. A garage a few blocks from Broad Street may be easier to access than one immediately beside the theater. Do not leave valuables visible in your vehicle.
Can I take public transportation to the Academy of Music?
Yes. SEPTA's Broad Street Line serves the area, with Walnut-Locust station a short walk from the theater. Several bus and trolley routes also serve Center City. Check SEPTA's current schedules and service alerts before traveling.

Bag rules and entry procedures may vary by performance. Bring only essential items, and check the Academy of Music's current policies before arrival. Allow additional time if you need to pass through venue security.
Are there opening acts for Opera Philadelphia?
Opera performances are generally presented as the featured production rather than as a concert with an opening act. Any special program or additional performance details should be confirmed in the listing for your selected date.
Are there age restrictions for Opera Philadelphia?
Age guidance can depend on the production, and the listed event information may not specify a universal age requirement. Check the event details and the venue's policies before purchasing tickets for children.

Opera Philadelphia Philadelphia Theatre reviews
Absolutely Amazing and Unforgettable!
An amazing combination, Opera Philadelphia and Dierks were! They both bring so much energy and enthusiasm to their respective performances. Their shows are filled with crowd-pleasing moments, showcasing their genuine love for entertaining their audiences. Witnessing the Locked and Reloaded Tour is truly a remarkable experience, especially when both artists shared the stage for a few songs. Anyone seeking a fun time with friends and great music should definitely consider attending this tour. Even those not typically fans of country music will appreciate the exceptional vocals and remarkable musicianship on display. The show was truly unforgettable, and I eagerly anticipate catching them again at the Susquehanna Bank Center performance.
